Traveler Ramblings

On a plane, headed to Mexico for a wedding!  Random thoughts I felt like sharing:

• Paying for internet on a flight is SUPER worth it.  I'm on a 4+ hour American Airlines flight - and it's $4.95.  Um, yes please!  The speed is good - I'm successfully web-multi-tasking, about 4 sites open that I'm switching between, and even videos on YouTube.  Pretty sure Southwest's in-flight internet is super reasonable, too.

• A bit concerned I'm developing a case of hubris* about myself as a traveler.  I keep showing up later than I ought to for flights, and it keeps working out for me.  In a way it's fun, because I feel like a little VIP chick who just shows up, walks on the plane, and it takes off... but SURELY this is not going to work one of these times :)  Though maybe the gods already punished me back in Italy when I missed my flight (which for once, it WASN'T my fault I was late for that flight)... so maybe I'm good?

S'all for now... I hope to do a write-up of Mexico, so stay tuned for that.  VERY much looking forward to cervezas by the pool, eating my weight in guacamole, and dancing up a storm with my brother and friends.  

* What is hubris?  Just my favorite word from Greek mythology :)
